OD 5.x Upgrade Installation – An Error Has Occurred (5003:0x5)

OD 5.x Upgrade Installation – An error has occurred (5003:0x5) while running the setup, please make sure that you have finished any previous setup.


Versions Affected: 
On-Demand 5.x Shopkey 5.x



Solution 1: 
Disable Norton by right-clicking on the Tray icon & choosing “Disable”.  Run the upgrade again and it should completed successfully.

Solution 2: 
Right-click on the Avast! icon in the system tray and select Avast! shield control.  Disable the shield for ten minutes, or until next reboot if needed.  Run the setup.exe again for installation.

Generally, you should be looking to disable any running Anti-virus program.
