Within the program, pressing F3 (Utilities, Find Customer) provides access to where you can enter a VIN number and search within Manager for that vehicle and then launch an Estimate or Repair Order. Since this selects the vehicle, you may quickly proceed to the Order screen.
NOTE: It should be decided early on that entire VINs or partial VINs (only the unique identifier digits) will be entered in your vehicle records. This has an effect on your F3 results.
We always RECOMMEND using complete VIN #s.
TIP: % can be used as a wildcard character.
TRIVIA: If you enter only a ‘1’ and press Find, you’ll see all vehicles in your database built in the U.S.; ‘2’ for Canadian built and ‘J’ for Japanese built, etc.
