Activant Button Cannot Be Turned On By CTRL+ALT+I

June 2008 UPDATE: Version 5.9.5.14 or newer handle this configuration under Setup, Special Maintenance as Toggle Catalog Availability.

NOTE: You must be on the front (aka “splash”) product screen to access the Special Maintenance functions.

Another program is trapping the sequence CTRL-ALT-I. If you cannot find the program running that is trapping that keystroke combination you may edit an INI file found in the windows directory. If you are using ManagerPlus the file you must edit is  Series20.ini, if you are using Manager the file you must edit is  Series10.ini.

Close your management software. Using Notepad, find and open the appropriate INI file found in the windows directory. Within the INI file you will find a section labeled  [CLIENTDATA], look for the line that says ‘ACTIVANTORDERING=NO’. Change ‘NO’ to ‘YES’ and save the file. Restart the management system and proceed to configure a Vendor record for use with the Activant catalog.

Below is a same of the [CLIENTDATA] section:

PARTSCATALOG=NO
OREILLYORDERING=YES

CurrentVendorCode=WDKMCS1
