No ODBC Data Source / 3031 Error
 
Cause:  This error is caused by severe database corruption (e.g. loss of power, multiple power failures, viruses, wireless network, etc.)
 
Symptoms include slow performance and receiving errors running normal operations.
 
WARNING: ONLY RUN THE ATTACHED DATABASE REPAIR UTILITY IF YOU HAVE THE “3031 CONDITION”.  ANY ATTEMPTS TO RUN THIS UTILITY UNDER ANY OTHER CIRCUMSTANCE MAY FURTHER CORRUPT YOUR DATABASE BEYOND REPAIR.  IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE RUNNING THIS UTILTY, PLEASE CONTACT OUR TECHNICAL SUPPORT DEPARTMENT AT 888-724-6742.
 
Fix: If the application is still accessible, open the program and confirm the error.  Click “Help” and click “About Manager” or “About ManagerPlus”.  If you receive the error “Not a valid password”, your database is in a 3031 condition state:
 
 
 
The error may also present itself when attempting to run standard database utilities:
 
 
To correct the issue, run the attached database utility on the Main\Host computer with Manager 5.9 closed on ALL computer (Attached Below).  Run the application, click “Next” twice and click “Finish”.
 
Once installed, click “Start”, click “All Programs”, click “Manager Database Utility” and click “M1-DBRepair”:
 
 
Confirm the current error state is in fact the 3031 condition:
 
 
Click “Repair”.  Once the process completes, the program should return back to normal operations.
