Versions Affected:
Manager/ManagerPlus, Shopkey Service Writer/Management (all versions).
Solution:
When dealing with an issue like this, it’s important to know what the ‘format’ of the date ranges are. In the case I was dealing with the customer stated that the ‘from’ date showed the proper format of mm/dd/yyyy. But, when asked what the ‘to’ date format was, upon close inspection she stated, yyyy/mm/dd.
So, although the customer can select the drop down arrow to open up the calendar and select the desired date, it will not function because in the regional settings, the date format is incorrect for the Manager program.
Now, we all know about making sure that the regional and language options are set for English/United States, but in this case, that is exactly what was selected. Keep in mind that although English/United States can be selected, the formatting of the dates can be changed to any number of formats, including yyyy/mm/dd.
1. Open up the Regional and Language options.
2. Click the ‘customize’ button
3. Select the ‘date’ tab and change the short date format to mm/dd/yyyy.
4. Verify you currently have Administrator rights
